Welcome to Cave Runners (“Game”), a digital game for Meta Quest published by Afterlife Games. By installing, accessing, or playing the Game, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

1. Licence and use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Game for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms, Meta’s platform terms, and applicable law. This licence does not transfer any ownership or intellectual property rights to you.

2. Intellectual property and no copying

All rights in the Game (including but not limited to software, code, graphics, audio, text, names, and branding) are owned by Afterlife Games or its licensors. You must not:

Copy, reproduce, or duplicate the Game or any part of it (except as allowed by law for personal backup where applicable);
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the Game;
Create derivative works, mods, or adaptations without our prior written permission;
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

3. No piracy or unauthorised distribution

You must not:

Pirate, crack, or use unauthorised copies of the Game;
Distribute, share, or make the Game available to others in any way that bypasses official channels (e.g. Meta Store);
Use cheats, hacks, bots, or other unauthorised means to gain an advantage or alter the Game;
Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities for personal gain or to harm other players or the service.

Piracy and unauthorised use are illegal and may result in legal action and termination of your access.

4. Account and conduct

You are responsible for your conduct in the Game and for any account linked to your use. You must not harass, abuse, or harm other players, or use the Game for any illegal or improper purpose. We may monitor use to enforce these Terms and protect the community.

5. Right to suspend or ban

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend or permanently ban any player (including revoking access to the Game and related services) if we reasonably believe you have:

Breached these Terms and Conditions;
Engaged in piracy, cheating, or unauthorised use;
Harassed other players or behaved in a way that harms the community;
Violated applicable law or Meta’s policies.

We are not obliged to give prior warning or refunds in the event of a ban. Decisions are final to the extent permitted by law.

6. Updates and availability

We may update the Game and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We do not guarantee that the Game will be available at all times or in all regions.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Game is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied) and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Game. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Game in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Privacy

Use of the Game may involve collection and processing of data (e.g. account identifiers, gameplay data) as described in our privacy practices and in accordance with Meta’s policies. By playing, you consent to such processing where required. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing.

9. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Afterlife Games operates. If any part of these Terms is held invalid, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
